Charitable Donations are the Lifeblood of the Trust.
Donations from individuals, community organisations, churches, schools, and local businesses are appreciated and valued. Financial donations enable the Trust to provide care and support to all who are in need, whether they are individuals or families. 65% of the Trust’s work is funded by such donations – they make a real difference.

If you have a smartphone you can scan the QR Code into your phone. To donate, simply follow the instructions on your phone screen. Make a single one-off donation, or choose to make a monthly one. Select a predetermined donation amount, or enter any amount you wish to give.
Donate via JustGiving
JustGiving will not deduct any fee from your donation but may seek a separate small donation to cover their administration costs. To donate via JustGiving simply click on this link:
If you are thinking of undertaking a fundraising event in support of the Trust, please consider setting up your own JustGiving fundraising page linked directly to the Canaan Trust. Setting up a personal dedicated donation/sponsorship page in this way would enable you to retain total control of your page, but enable each donation to be paid directly into the Trust’s bank account. This in turn saves you from having to collect the sponsorship and then forward it to the Trust.
Once you have clicked on the link, simply go to the ‘Fundraise for us’ button on the top right of the page, and click on the link. Then follow the online instructions to set up your fundraising page.
Cash or Cheque Donations
Donations can be sent or dropped into the Trust office at 14 Main Street, Long Eaton, Derbyshire NG10 1GR – cheques should be made payable to the ‘Canaan Trust’.
Bacs Payments
Donations can be made via Bacs payments directly into the Trust Bank account. If you make a Bacs payment, please put the initial of your first name and your full surname in the payment reference.

In Memory
Donating or fundraising in someone’s memory is a very special and meaningful way to remember them – honouring their life and helping others at the same time. The Trust is always incredibly touched and grateful to receive these donations.
Speak to your Funeral Director who will be happy to advise and make all the necessary arrangements.
Bequest in Will
We know that when you are making your Will, your loved ones will come first. But we hope, once you have taken care of your family and friends, that you will consider including a gift in your Will to the Trust.
A gift in your Will help the Trust to ‘re-build lives’ – it will help us be there for individuals and families in their greatest hour of need. It will give people futures that might not otherwise be possible – what a legacy!
Should you choose to include a gift to us in your Will, we will always respect your privacy and handle your estate and wishes with care. We will ensure your donation will be used for the greatest impact.
If you would like to talk to someone about this way of giving, then please call our Project Manager on 0115 9464903, or email us at office@canaan-trust.co.uk.
Furniture / Electrical Goods / Clothing Donations
Unfortunately, the Trust lacks storage facilities and is restricted in its ability to accept casual donations of furniture and clothing. However, when the Trust is supporting a particular individual or family, we will place a post on our social media platforms appealing for specific items that may be required to help the individual or family in question.
The Trust is always heartened by the Community’s response to all such appeals and we have never been left unable to support and provide for an individual or family’s needs. The Trust is always happy to discuss offers of furniture, electrical goods and clothing.
