May 2006	The retirement of Margaret Saunderson in March. Call to raise funds for the then so called garden building, amount required £30,000
October 2006	New garden landscaped and completed thanks to Steve Holmes and a many volunteers including the residents. The story of John Charity, a nightworker
August 2007	Support from CRASH. Opposition from the council over extension building. Loyal friend of Canaan Wally Richardson sadly passes away.
February 2008	Call for new Admin assistant met and Joan appointed. Funding secured for ‘coach house’; currently awaiting result of planning appeal
August 2008	Trustee changes, we say farewell to Andrew West and Beth Richardson. Canaan signs up with Utilities warehouse for energy and communications
March 2009	The ‘coach house’ is completed and has now been officially titled the ‘Manna building’. Re-decoration for the spring, upgrades and regeneration.
September 2009	Farewell and thanks to Beryl an honoured contributor and supporter of Canaan since we started. Congratulations to our students. An update on our extension plans
